Daesung Group Chairman Younghoon David Kim will attend the 48th World Economic Forum (Davos Forum) in Davos, Switzerland, which will be held from January 23rd to the 26th. Chairman Kim has been attending Davos Forum for 15 consecutive years since 2004. This sets the record for the longest consecutive attendance at the Davos Forum among Korea executives.

Under this year’s theme 'Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World’, political and financial leaders from around the world will come together and discuss ways to build a better future for a world that is currently suffering from economic, political and social divisions.

As Chairman and CEO of Daesung Group, and Chair of the World Energy Council, Chairman Kim will be sharing his opinions with other energy industry leaders and government officials concerning new technological breakthroughs that could help to overcome these divisions and lead the energy transition.

On the 25th, he will also attend 'Korean Night in Davos' hosted by South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was last held two years ago, in order to establish networks with global leaders.

Chairman Kim noted, "The Davos Forum is where global leaders in various fields from around the world gather and discuss issues that cover society, politics, culture as well as the economy. In this regard, attending the Forum is also a great opportunity for me to develop an eye for global economic trends and better understand a wide array of current issues.”

Chairman Kim has shared the major agenda items and the highlights of Davos Forum since 2008 through his personal blog (www.younghoonkim.com) and will continue to do so this year.
