Daesung Energy holds the 16th Gas Safety Poster Contest

Accepting entries from March 8th to April 2nd

[March 6, 2013] Daesung Energy (President Jong-mu Lee) will hold its 16th Gas Safety Poster Contest, funded by the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education, to raise awareness about gas safety and to help students make gas safety checking a part of their daily lives. 

This contest invites creative and original art work related to gas safety that ▷ instill awareness for city gas accident prevention, ▷ raise awareness about the autonomous gas safety check carried out on the 4th of every month, and ▷ illustrate that gas safety and accident prevention can bring happiness and prosperity to individuals, families and society.

Students enrolled in elementary, middle and high schools in Daegu City, Gyeongsan City and Goryeong-gun, which are the supply regions of Daesung Energy, may participate in this contest. The grand prize winners of each of the divisions of elementary, middle and high school will win the Daegu City Superintendent of Education Prize. All individual and group winners will also receive cash prizes as well. 

Entries may be submitted to the Daesung Energy Safety Planning Team via mail, parcel service, or by visiting the company in person between March 8 and April 2. Pieces created using computer graphics must be submitted after printing while the original file must also be sent via email (email address:
hyunwoo0727@korea.com). 

The contest results will be posted on Daesung Energy’s website on Wednesday, April 17 in addition to individual notification. The awards ceremony will take place at the auditorium on the 3rd floor of Daesung Energy’s headquarters on Thursday, April 25.

Since 1998, the Gas Safety Poster Contest has become a trademark safety culture campaign in the region that instills a strong sense of gas safety awareness among students, receiving approximately 2900 entries from 187 schools last year.
