FROM: [Source: The Korea Economic Daily] October 31, 2007 "Forming Northeast Asia Economic Integration to Prepare for Offshore Competition" Representing the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), Daesung Group CEO & chairman, Mr. Younghoon David Kim, and GS Caltex Corp., Mr. Dong-Soo Hur, attended the '6th Korea-China-Japan Business Forum' held in Tokyo, Japan on October 30. Attendees agreed upon the urgent need for an economic integration through a Korea-China-Japan FTA. In attendance, representing China were: Xu Se Phung (president, China Oil and Natural Gas), Xu Leijian (chairman & CEO, Shanghai Baosteel Group), and Xu Heyi (chairman, Beijing Hyundai Motor Company). Representing Japan were: Yoshihiko Miyauchi (chairman & CEO, Orix Corp.), Fujio Mitarai (chairman, Japan Business Federation), Fumiaki Watari (president & CEO, Nippon Oil Corp.), Mitsuo Ohashi (president & CEO, Showa Denko), and Motoyuki Oka (president & CEO, Sumitomo Corp.).
