FROM: Korea-New Zealand Exchange in Film Content Owes it to Archery [The Hankyoreh / October 12, 2007] The friendship between Younghoon David Kim (chairman and CEO of Daesung Group) and Richard Taylor (maker of "The Lord of the Rings" and "King Kong," six-time Academy Award winner, and co-owner of WETA Workshop) began with a mutual interest in archery. Upon Taylor's recommendation, CEO Kim invested in a New Zealand comedy thriller called "Black Sheep." Their friendship has opened doors to a new business relationship in the film industry. |
