Kim takes an active part in the sports area as well. He was nominated the President of the Daegu Athletics Meeting in 2005 and his enthusiasm and passion as the Bidding Committee Vice President helped Daegu to be the city to host the 2011 World Championships in Athletics. His global network and English proficiency built during his Harvard years was enough for him to strongly speech his thoughts on the necessity of the hosting. As his foreign activities expand, his global networks and Daesung Group and Korea’s economic territory alike are also to expand further.
