FROM: The Ground Breaking Ceremony of Genghis Khan Eco-Energy Project in Mongolia Mr. Younghoon David Kim. CEO, Chairman of Daesung Group, participating The Ground Breaking Ceremony of Genghis Khan Eco-Energy Project in Mongolia. Daesung Group, the energy experts, is now focusing on expanding its energy business to the world. As part of our globalization drive, since 2003 we have provided Mongolia with the SolaWin solution, a solar and wind power generation system. With the GEEP Project, Daesung Group will spearhead a forestation project using technology acquired from the successful generation of photovoltaic and wind power via SolaWin to pump water for use in 80,000 acres of land near Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. In the long term this project will contribute to the prevention of desertification and the resulting “yellow dust” sandstorms. Recently the World Energy Council (WEC) choose the GEEP Project as its primary energy project for the Asia-Pacific region from 2008 to 2010. Daesung Group aims to present a global model of desertification prevention and control through this project. Ultimately, our development of a “New and Renewable Energy Theme Park” within the GEEP Project will be executed in the context of energy, environmental, historical, and cultural themes. |
