FROM: Daegu City Gas (Daegu Gas, 016710) is free from administrative issue as the sales of the old shares through public offering satisfied the requirements for the dispersion of the stocks according to an announcement made by the Korean Stock Exchange yesterday. Daegu City Gas was successful in the public offering of its old shares and exceeded the required number of stocks for the stock dispersion. Daegu City Gas also satisfied the requirements for the quantity of stocks through the liquidity provider (LP) agreement with Daeshin Securities in the same month (December 2005). Although Daegu City Gas stock is one of the KOSPI's blue chips, the company was under administrative issue as it could not satisfy the requirements related to the dispersion of minority shareholders and volume of trading. In light of the fact that the company is free from administrative issue, the market is anticipating that the stock prices of Daegu City Gas will rise. Kyoungbuk City Gas, which supplies LPG and LNG to Andong City and Yeongju City, and is an affiliate of Daegau City Gas, is going to invest the money created by the public offering in appropriate environmental and cultural industries in the Andong and Yeongju City area. Kyoungbook City Gas, based upon its robust sales and increasing profit in recent FYs, as well as its plans for diversifying its business portfolio, is preparing for its debut on Korea's stock market. |
