FROM: "Additional Business Purposes" was agreed at a general shareholders meeting in September 2nd. The Daesung Group declared this year as the year of globalization, and is forecasted to accelerate the business diversification. Daesung Group's mid and long term goal is called as the "Ten Ten Ten Plan". In order to achieve the goal of earning more than 1 trillion dollars, one billion dollars net profit, Daesung has selected (CEM)3, meaning Communication, Energy, and Money, as its three core businesses to form its basis with Construction, Environment, and Marketing as mainstay businesses, and Culture, Education, and Membrane segments as the third strategic businesses. The Dasesung Group's main subsidiary, Taegu City Gas held a board of directors meeting on August 20th to amend the articles of incorporation, to add the purpose of businesses and to discuss about the stock split at a general shareholders meeting on September 2nd According to a public announcement, the Daesung Group's business fields are on data communication, finance, human resource, education, publication, printing, broadcasting, vehicle administration, vessel, movie and corporation structure reconciliation, pivoted on data communication, new enterprises that related to mid and long term achievement are included. Looking into it in detail, the businesses are construction and managing a frequency common communication network, data communication related equipments sales, research and development, technique services, computer system designs and consultation, contend related business, vehicle rental and lease, domestic and foreign employment agency, total rebroadcast cable TV, an insurance and pension related business, remote education services, franchise and inauguration of an enterprise consultation, fur piece manufacturing, public relations and advertising agency, movie and video production and distribution, acquisition and merger of business services, acquisition and normalization of reconstructing businesses, purchasing and maintaining vessel, etc. There are numerous businesses that they cannot be counted. At the general stockholders meeting that will be held on September 2nd, the case on stock split is planned to be resolved. The face value per share will be taken down from 5,000 won to 1,000 won. If it is the case, the total number of issued stocks will be 3.146 million before the division and 15.73 million after the division. The goal is to boost the stock exchange through increasing the number of negotiable instruments. On the other hand, Taegu City Gas had tried to altar the corporate name to pursue for globalization, but a proper title could not be found. It concerns that it might discolor the image of local community business, according to the Daesung Group official. |
