FROM: Korea Joongang Daily(Original article) Daegu wins bid for energy congress (November 10, 2008) It was a landslide. Daegu overwhelmingly won its bid to host the 2013 World Energy Congress. The host city was announced on Saturday in Mexico City during the World Energy Council’s executive board meeting. The North Gyeongsang city competed until the last minute against strong candidates including Durban in South Africa and Copenhagen in Denmark.
