FROM: Daesung Group Daesung Group’s (CEO Younghoon David Kim) holding company Daesung Holdings Co., Ltd announced that the company will begin offering Skype services beginning July 14 through the Daesung-Skype website (skype.daesung.com). Users can also visit the new site or download Skype through skype.korea.com. (KOREA.COM is owned by Daesung Group.)
Daesung Holdings Co., Ltd will continue to provide the same Skype products previously offered by eBay Auction like Skype Credit, Subscriptions, and Online Numbers for the convenience of existing Skype users. To commemorate the opening of the Daesung-Skype website, an online event “Skype Smart Festival” will be held at skype.daesung.com for 3 weeks from 14 July – 3 August 2011. Consumers in Korea can participate in quizzes and a lucky draw at the Skype Smart Festival, with attractive prizes including Skype Credit vouchers (free calling card), the latest iPad2, Bluetooth earphone, movie tickets and other prizes. Daesung Holdings Co., Ltd said, “For a start we are going to focus on having the customers use the service like they used to. During the second half of the year, we plan to work closely with Skype to roll out more products and services tailored for Korean consumers and smartphone users.” Skype is a global communications platform provider with 170 million monthly average connected users worldwide. Millions of individuals and businesses use Skype every day to make free Skype-to-Skype video and voice calls, send instant messages and files to other Skype users. Skype also offers great value rates so users can make low-cost calls to landlines and mobile phones around the world. In June this year, Daesung Holdings Co., Ltd announced a partnership to provide Skype services replacing Skype’s existing local partner eBay Auction. In addition to Skype, Daesung Holdings Co., Ltd has officially advanced into the telecommunications service market following its recent announcement of its registration for MVNO. # # # |
