Daesung Group Holds its 14th Annual Concert of Love
to Showcase its Commitment to the Underprivileged

Daesung Group (Chairman Younghoon David Kim), a total energy provider, hosted the ‘2016 Concert of Love’ on December 27, 2016 as a way of sharing the Christmas spirit with underprivileged children. Approximately 600 children from Seoul and Daegu attended the concert.

The concert was held at a performance hall in Konkuk University, which commenced with a talent show prepared by the children who played musical instruments and danced. In the second half, the Yun Hak Won Chorale, founded by the world-class conductor and the legendary figure in Korean choir music Yun Hakwon, presented its choir performance. The chorale performed famous musical numbers such as ‘Think of me’ from the musical Phantom of the Opera, and Korean children’s songs drawing appreciative applause.

Besides the performance, children had fun with various events such as face painting and balloon art before the concert began. At the end of the show, Daesung Group gave farewell presents - clothing, books and school supplies – to the children sharing love around the holiday season.

“It is a big pleasure to spend such memorable moment with the children celebrating the year-end. I hope the children learned the meaning of understanding and harmony through the choir performance,” said Chairman Kim.

The ‘Concert of Love’ initiative is an annual event to promote sharing. Through various cultural performances including plays, musicals and ballet, Daesung Group delivers dreams and hopes to children.
