[January 21, 2013] Chairman Younghoon David Kim of Daesung Group, a leading Korean energy and resources company, will attend the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, better known as the Davos Forum, to be held in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland January 23-27, 2013.

Chairman Kim made his first visit to the Davos Forum as a panelist in 2004 during his tenure as a regional vice chair of the World Energy Council (WEC). He has attended the forum every year since then so this year marks his 10th trip. Chairman Kim, elected as the co-chair of the WEC in November 2012, will actively promote the 22nd World Energy Congress by conversing with global leaders in the energy sector and participating in sessions. His stint as co-chair of the WEC will be followed by a three-year term as Chair of the multi-energy global organization.

Chairman Kim has blogged (
www.younghoonkim.com) on the Davos Forum directly from the event venue every year since 2007 so that Koreans are updated on its key issues and agenda.

Chairman Kim is keen to take part in sessions on food, energy and water (FEW) security, which the UN has warned as being triple challenges facing mankind. According to the World Economic Forum's Global Risks 2013, an analysis of 50 global risks, water supply crises are among the top five risks the world faces in the next decade, and food shortage crises ranked among the top five risks in terms of the impact on the world if the risk were to materialize.
