[ABU DHABI, 18 September 2012] Younghoon David Kim, CEO of Daesung Group, gave a special speech at the World Energy Council (WEC)’s forum on the “Energy Trilemma and WEC’s Strategic Insight” in Abu Dhabi, September 18.

In his speech, Chairman Kim emphasized the need for international organizations such as the WEC and UN to closely work together to resolve world-wide energy problems including energy poverty. 

Prior to the speech, Chairman Kim participated in a press conference for foreign correspondents including Reuters, Dow Jones Newswire and Gulf News and local media to highlight the progress made in preparations for the 2013 World Energy Congress in Daegu, South Korea.

Chairman Kim served as Vice Chair for Asia Pacific and South Asia, WEC from 2006 to 2011. He is currently Vice-Chair of the World Energy Congress Daegu 2013 Organizing Committee.
